NJ Sharing Network announces the availability of multiple scholarships for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Scholarships are offered for Newark students that have been impacted by our mission and are continuing their education.
NJ Sharing Network is the non-profit organization responsible for the recovery and placement of
donated organs and tissue for those in need of a life-saving transplant. Nearly 4,000 New Jersey
residents are currently awaiting transplantation. The foundation is also part of the national recovery system, which is in place for the 115,000 people on the national waiting list.
The foundation aims to increase the number of lives saved through innovative transplant
research, family support, public awareness and education about the life-saving benefits of organ and
tissue donation and transplantation.
This year’s application deadline has been extended to June 1.
- Student must be a full time high school senior at a Newark school, who will be entering college, vocational or technical school in the Fall of 2020.
- Student must be an organ and tissue donation awareness advocate or have a connection to organ and tissue donation and transplantation (please see page 3 of the application for the various connections).
