How To Vote In NJ’s 11th Congressional District Special Primary
Early voting is underway for NJ’s 11th Congressional District special primary, with ballots open through Feb. 3 ahead of the Feb. 5 election.
Some voters in Essex, Morris, and Passaic Counties can select their preferred candidate to replace former congresswoman and current Gov. Mikie Sherrill.
Early voting for New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District special primary officially began Thursday to replace former Rep. Mikie Sherrill, who is now serving as the governor of New Jersey.
Voters can cast ballots early from Jan. 29 to Feb. 3. The official primary Election Day will be held Feb. 5. Winning candidates will head to the general special election on April 16.

Who can vote?
Registered Democrats and Republicans in New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District can vote. Unaffiliated voters can declare a party at an early voting site.
How to vote early
In-person early voting runs from Jan. 29 to Feb. 3. During this period, people can cast ballots at any designated early voting site within their county. Early voting locations are open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
