Jersey City Firefighter And Monroe Resident Arrested In Child Exploitation Investigation

Middlesex County Prosecutor Linda Estremera and Chief Griffin Banos of the Monroe Township Police Department announced today that Drew Martucci, 27, of Monroe Township, has been arrested and charged as a result of an investigation into Online Child Exploitation.

After receiving a Cyber Tip from the New Jersey State Police, an investigation was conducted by Detective Ken McGarry of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit at the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. It is alleged that Martucci represented himself as a minor to produce Child Sexual Abuse Material. As a result of that investigation Martucci was charged.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit with the assistance from the FBI Child Exploitation/Human Trafficking Task Force, Monroe Township Police Department, members of the Middlesex County ICAC Task Force and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office ESD K-9, arrested Martucci today, on October 20, 2026, without incident at his home in Monroe. As a result of the execution of a search warrant of his residence, Martucci was charged with first-degree Production of Child Sexual Abuse Material, second-degree Manufacturing of Child Sexual Abuse Material, second-degree Attempted Manufacturing of CSAM, second degree distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material, third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, third-degree Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material, third-degree Invasion of Privacy, and third-degree Distributing Obscene Material to a Child (2 counts). Martucci is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Facility pending the results of a Pre-Trial Detention hearing.

At the time of the arrest, Martucci was employed as a Jersey City Firefighter as well as an Old Bridge Firefighter. Immediately upon learning of the charges and arrest, Jersey City and Old Bridge Fire District 3 suspended Martucci without pay.

Prosecutor Estremera extends her gratitude to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago and members of his office as well as the Monroe Township Police Department, Sayreville Police Department, Maryland State Police, and the FBI Newark Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force for their assistance with the case.

The investigation is active and continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective McGarry of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office at 732-745-3140.

As is the case with all criminal defendants, the charges against Martucci are merely accusations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
