Communities across New Jersey are preparing for spectacular fireworks displays and festive gatherings this Fourth of July.

The Garden State offers many family-friendly events that bring our diverse communities together. Here’s where you can find fireworks displays and festivities in your town.

Essex County

Newark:

Join the Brookdale Park Conservancy for the Essex County Free Summer Music Concert Series on July 2 at Brookdale Park for a free performance by The Infernos. A fireworks show will follow immediately after the concert.

Belleville:

Belleville will hold its annual Independence Day Celebration on July 3 at Municipal Stadium starting at 6 p.m. Activities will include a DJ, face painting, food trucks, and rides. Fireworks will begin at dusk.

Bloomfield:

Bloomfield’s festivities will take place on July 4 at Foley Field. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., with fireworks scheduled for 9:30 p.m.

Nutley:

Nutley will celebrate on July 4 at Park Oval beginning at 6 p.m. Franklin Avenue will be closed between Chestnut Street and Church Street starting at 3:30 p.m. to accommodate the event.

Bergen County

County-wide (Overpeck County Park):

The Bergen County Star Spangled Spectacular will take place at Overpeck County Park in Ridgefield Park on July 4, starting at 2:30 p.m. The celebration will feature food trucks, a wine and beer garden, and performances throughout the evening, including the New Jersey Wind Symphony at 8 p.m., followed by fireworks. The rain date is July 5.

Paramus:

Paramus will host its Independence Day Parade on July 4 at 9 a.m., beginning at Farview Avenue and East Century Road and ending at Memorial Elementary School. Fireworks will be held separately at the Cliff Gennarelli Sports Complex on July 6 starting at 5 p.m.

Ridgewood:

Ridgewood will celebrate its 115th Annual Fourth of July Celebration on July 4 with a flag-raising ceremony at Wilsey Square at 9 a.m., followed by a parade at 10 a.m. Evening festivities begin at 6 p.m. with live music, food trucks, a beer garden, and a fireworks finale.

Mercer County

Trenton:

Trenton will hold its annual 4th of July Extravaganza at Thunder Ballpark on July 4 beginning at 6 p.m. The event will feature the Uncle Sam Great American Picnic and live entertainment.

Hudson County

Jersey City:

Jersey City’s celebration will take place at Exchange Place on July 4 starting at noon.

Bayonne:

Bayonne will host its fireworks celebration at DiDomenico-16th Street Park (lower level) on July 2. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and includes a performance by The Suspects at 7 p.m., with fireworks scheduled for 9:15 p.m. The rain date is July 3.

Middlesex County

Perth Amboy:

Perth Amboy will host its annual Independence Day celebration on July 2 at Sadowski Parkway from 4 to 9:30 p.m. The event will feature food trucks, live music, artisan vendors, family-friendly activities, and a fireworks display at 9:20 p.m. The rain date is July 3.

Woodbridge:

Woodbridge will celebrate on July 3 at Alvin P. Williams Memorial Park in Sewaren. Gates open at 4 p.m., with live music by AM Gold. The rain date is July 5.

Monmouth County

Asbury Park:

Asbury Park will hold its fireworks display along the boardwalk and beach on July 3. The rain date is July 5.

Long Branch:

Long Branch will host its popular Oceanfest celebration on July 4. The all-day event features entertainment, food trucks, and concludes with a fireworks show.

Keansburg:

Keansburg Amusement Park and Runaway Rapids will present their fireworks display on July 3 at 9 p.m.
