The Tony Award-winning and record-breaking hit musical Chicago is set to captivate audiences again as it welcomes beloved actress Charlotte d’Amboise as the iconic “Roxie Hart on June 12, 2023. Joining her in this stellar cast are Dylis Croman as Roxie Hart, Jennifer Fouché as Matron Mama Morton, Ryan Silverman as Billy Flynn, and Evan Harrington as Amos Hart, all making their debut on June 5, 2023.

With a legacy that spans decades, Chicago; holds the distinction of being Broadway’s most iconic musical, featuring the legendary music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb alongside the outstanding choreography of Bob Fosse. It proudly holds the title of the longest-running American musical in Broadway history, a testament to its enduring appeal and timeless storytelling.

Charlotte d’Amboise, returning to the role of & Roxie Hart, brings a wealth of experience to the production. Having previously portrayed Roxie on the first national tour of Chicago, & she garnered critical acclaim and received prestigious awards such as the L.A. Drama Critics Circle, L.A. Ovation, and Bay Area Theatre Circle. Her illustrious career includes notable performances in Pippin,& A Chorus Line, Sweet Charity,& earning her Tony nominations and recognition from the Fred Astaire Awards.

Producers Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson, Brian Anthony Moreland, Ambassador Theatre Group, Kandi Burruss, and Todd Tucker are thrilled to announce casting for the beloved roles of the Lion, Tinman, and Scarecrow in the all-new production of the groundbreaking Tony Award-winning hit musical The Wiz, in advance of its highly anticipated Broadway return in the Spring of 2024. The cast will include Kyle Ramar Freeman (A Strange Loop) as the Lion, Phillip Johnson Richardson (Sharper, Apple+) as the Tinman, and Avery Wilson (The Voice) as the Scarecrow, respectively. Richardson and Wilson, both talented African American performers, will be making their Broadway debuts.

Featuring a book by William F. Brown and a Tony Award-winning score by Charlie Smalls (and others), director Schele Williams (The Notebook, revival of Disney’s Aida), award-winning choreographer JaQuel Knight (Beyonce’s “Single Ladies,” Black is King), additional material by Emmy-nominated writer and T.V. host Amber Ruffin (“The Amber Ruffin Show,” “Late Night With Seth Meyers”), Joseph Joubert and Allen René Louis are conjuring up an Oz unlike anything ever seen. Audible Inc., the renowned creator, and provider of premium audio storytelling, is excited to announce the highly anticipated New York premiere of Swing State, the critically acclaimed production from the Goodman Theatre. Written by Pulitzer Prize finalist Rebecca Gilman, known for her remarkable works such as The Glory of Living, Spinning Into Butter, and Boy Gets Girl and directed by Tony Award winner Robert Falls of Death of a Salesman. This seven-week limited engagement will kick off on Friday, September 8, at Audible & Minetta Lane Theatre.

In rehearsals …

Broadway rehearsals are underway today for the uproarious new American comedy, The Cottage. Written by Sandy Rustin and directed by Tony Award winner Jason Alexander, known for his iconic role on Seinfeld,& this marks Alexander’s Broadway directorial debut. The Cottage will ignite the stage starting on July 7, with the official opening night set for July 24 at the Hayes Theater (240 West 44th Street). The production is scheduled for a strictly limited engagement through October 29.

Emmy Award winner Eric McCormack, beloved for his role in Will & Grace,& leads the talented cast of The Cottage. Joining him is Tony Award nominee Laura Bell Bundy, recognized for her outstanding performance in & Legally Blonde,& and Tony Award nominee Lilli Cooper, who wowed audiences in Tootsie; the ensemble also includes Alex Moffat from Saturday Night Live,& Nehal Joshi from The Phantom of the Opera, and Dana Steingold from Beetlejuice. Completing the cast are Michelle Federer, known for her role in the original Broadway cast of Wicked,& Matthew Floyd Miller from American Crime Story: Impeachment,& Tony Roach from & Flying Over Sunset, and Jamie Ann Romero from The Punisher,& serving as understudies. Transporting audiences to the picturesque English countryside in 1923, The Cottage is a hilarious tale of sex, betrayal, and love.
