The legacy continues with consummate stage, screen, and TV actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, who took Broadway and Hollywood by storm following competition of theatre classes as one of Rutgers University’s youngest graduates.  Within the last few months alone, Sheryl Lee has been on a winning streak for her portrayal of Barbara Howard on ABC-TV’s “Abbott Elementary.” She became the first Black woman to win an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series” in thirty-five years.  She is also a fan and industry favorite for capturing the Critics’ Choice and People’s Choice Awards
