CITY OF NEWARK TO HOLD 39TH ANNUAL HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY

Hosted by 10-year-old MC Parker Alexander, the ceremony will take place on Tuesday, December 10, at 4:30 p.m., in the City Hall First Floor Rotunda at 920 Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard.

“City of Hope,” a group of Newark residents, will perform a holiday song. In addition, youth singer Alisha Lochan will render “O Holy Night.”

Along with the musical performances, the Mayor will deliver a “Message of Hope.” After that, he and the other attendees will illuminate the tree outside City Hall.

Santa Claus will make a special appearance.
