New York Cosmos Return To Classic Green Ahead Of Hinchliffe Stadium Debut

The New York Cosmos have unveiled their 2026 primary jersey, a classic green kit that pays homage to the club’s championship legacy of the 1970s and 80s. The new look, revealed Dec. 11, will be worn when the team returns to the field in March 2026 at Paterson’s historic Hinchliffe Stadium for its inaugural USL League One campaign.

The jersey was created in partnership with Capelli Sport and designer Mark Jenkinson of BastionFC, blending modern performance with a design rooted in the Cosmos’ traditional identity. The vibrant green base reprises the color long associated with some of the club’s most iconic moments.

“Ask any generation of fan who watched the Cosmos play. When you turn on the TV, see historic clips or look at the iconic photos, the Cosmos in green are unmistakable,” Cosmos CEO Erik Stover said. “There have been so many historic moments in this color and we are excited to continue that story.”

The club says the jersey launch is part of a broader effort to reconnect the Cosmos with North Jersey communities as they settle into Hinchliffe Stadium and begin a new chapter.
