The Archdiocese of Newark’s Mercy House will spread Easter cheer by distributing hundreds of bags filled with candy, crayons, and other treats to families facing hardships during its annual Easter Giveaway on Tuesday, April 15, at 11 a.m. at its Newark location (620 Clinton Avenue)
What: The Archdiocese of Newark’s Mercy House will spread Easter cheer by distributing hundreds of bags filled with candy, coloring books, crayons, stickers and other treats to families facing hardships.
Why: Amidst the challenges of high living costs, many families are struggling financially and cannot provide Easter gifts for their children. This initiative will ensure every child receives a surprise on Easter Sunday while spreading joy and love in the community.
When: Media are invited to cover the Newark giveaway on Tuesday, April 15, at 11 a.m.

Who: Cheryl A. Riley, director of The Mercy House, will lead a team of dedicated staff and volunteers to welcome families, distribute goodie bags and spread Easter cheer.
