NJ Reopens Limited Child Care Aid Slots For Low‑Income Families
New Jersey has reopened limited Child Care Assistance Program slots, allowing eligible families to register for help paying child care costs.
A limited number of Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) slots have reopened in New Jersey, and eligible families can now register to apply. The program helps income‑eligible parents who are working, in school, or in job training pay for child care.
Families must first complete a registration form. Then, selected families will then be invited to submit a full application as slots become available. Priority will go to families with incomes at or below 100% of the federal poverty level, families experiencing homelessness, and families needing care for children with special needs.
Families can register here: https://www.mynjhelps.gov/home
If you are unsure whether you qualify, you can use the state’s eligibility calculator here: https://www.childcarenj.gov/Calculator

“We know high child care costs can strain families and force parents to make difficult decisions,” Human Services Commissioner Sarah Adelman said in a statement. “We are grateful to be able to reopen enrollment, even on a limited basis. We encourage families to review the eligibility criteria and register to apply as soon as possible.”
