Manalapan Resident Arrested by The Internet Crimes Against Children Unit
In October of 2024, the Old Bridge Police Department requested assistance regarding an incident of an unknown adult male who was live streaming pre-pubescent CSAM and masturbating on a virtual telehealth waiting room for a health care provider in Old Bridge. Between October and January, the defendant live streamed similar content into the virtual waiting room on at least seven occasions.

The investigation revealed the suspect to be Jason Schain, 34, of Manalapan. Schain was arrested at his residence on March 7, 2025, without incident and charged with second-degree Distribution of CSAM, third-degree Possession of CSAM, third-degree Possession of CDS, fourth-degree Cyber Harassment, and Lewdness which is classified as a disorderly persons offense.
Schain is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending the results of a Pre-Trial Detention hearing. The investigation is active and continuing.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Ryan Hall of the Old Bridge Police Department at 732-721-5600 X 3203 or Detective Kenneth McGarry of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office at 732-745-3140.
As is the case with all criminal defendants, the charges against Schain are merely accusations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
