CITY OF NEWARK TO HOST LATINA EMPOWERMENT BRUNCH

Mayor Ras J. Baraka, Newark Municipal Council members, Deputy Mayor of Community Engagement Jacqueline Quiles, and other dignitaries will host the annual Latina Empowerment Brunch on Monday, March 3, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Newark Symphony Hall, 1020 Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard, in downtown Newark.

The event will bring prominent Latina women together for a brunch dedicated to helping Latina professionals and students achieve professional and personal success. Speakers include: Newark Police Lieutenant Gloria M. Caballero, Noticias Univision 41 Journalist Esperanza Ceballos, banking executive and former Perth Amboy Wilda Diaz, legal expert Karla Y. Garcia, Esq., PIX11 News Anchor Monica Morales, Robert Treat Academy Educator Tiana Marie Santos and Newark Firefighter Aida Villalongo-Cobbs.
