New Brunswick Resident Arrested by The Internet Crimes Against Children Unit
Mark Newman, 22, of New Brunswick, was arrested on January 24, 2025, without incident and charged with third-degree Possession of Child Sexual Abuse material.
After receiving a cyber tip from the New Jersey State Police, Newman was charged following an investigation by Detective Stenly Vertus of the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

As is the case with all criminal defendants, the charges against Newman are merely
accusations, and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
