Mayor Baraka and Partners to Officially Launch Expanded Street Outreach for Unsheltered Residents

Initiatives will widen and deepen support for people without housing.

Mayor Ras J. Baraka, Office of Homeless Services Director Luis Ulerio, and partners will launch expanded street outreach services for Newark’s unsheltered residents at a press conference on Wednesday, January 15, at 11 a.m., at 189 Market Street.

The announcement comes on the tail of the two-year anniversary of the launch of Newark’s “The Path Home,” a data-driven, comprehensive plan developed with more than 100 partners to end chronic homelessness in the city.

MEDIA NOTES: Parking for members of the press available on both sides of Market Street, between Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard and Beaver Street, first-come, first-served.
