The Public relations and government affairs firm Stateside Affairs has celebrated its ninth year in business and has been named the top minority-owned business in New Jersey. NJBIZ announced the award during the firm’s recent win at the 2023 NJBIZ Reader Rankings.

The company has also won numerous other awards and recognitions, including the Bronze Stevie Award in the Social Media Team of the Year Category at the 20th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business, the 2023 ROI-NJ Champions of the C-Suite Gala, where Cristina Pinzon, President and CEO of Stateside Affairs, was celebrated for her outstanding achievements as one of New Jersey’s top 150 business leaders, and the Silver Stevie Award in the Ethics in Sales Category.

LisaMarie Gaeta, Director of Marketing and Operations at Stateside Affairs, was named to Consulting Magazine’s 2024 Rising Stars of the Profession awards for Excellence in Leadership.

The importance of diverse-owned businesses to New Jersey’s economy is evident, with a report from the New Jersey Legislature stating that companies owned by people of color, women, veterans, and members of the LGBTQ+ community play a vital role. In fact, 21.7 percent of businesses in the state are owned by people of color, 39.6 percent are women-owned, and 4.2 percent are veterans—and LGBTQ+-owned.

Despite this, diverse-owned businesses are still at a disadvantage regarding growth opportunities. A statewide study revealed significant disparities in their securing formal prime contracts.

Stateside Affairs is committed to promoting and supporting the growth of diverse-owned businesses in New Jersey and beyond. As part of this mission, the company calls on New Jersey residents to support it in NJBIZ’s annual Reader Rankings.
