Fatal Stabbing Under Investigation
On April 28, 2024, at approximately 8:59 P.M., authorities responded to the area of Smith Street and Maple Street following the report of a stabbing. Upon their arrival, authorities located Jason Torres, 32, of Perth Amboy, who had collapsed. Torres was transported to Hackensack Merdian Health Raritan Bay Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
