Peace Islands Institute Announces Annual Ramadan Friendship Dinner to Strengthen Community Bonds

The Ramadan Friendship Dinner comes at a crucial time when society faces rising tides of hate and intolerance. PII is committed to reversing this trend by using the dinner as a platform for people from different walks of life to connect and engage in meaningful conversation. Sharing a meal, and breaking bread together during Ramadan, a time of reflection and community, offers the perfect backdrop for dialogue and the strengthening of bonds. The dinner, co-hosted with the Turkish Cultural Center (TCC), will serve as a beacon for the mission of peace, illustrating that “Love is the essence of creation.”

The evening will be graced with the insights of honored guests and dignitaries, including the NJ Attorney General, FBI SAC, the Director of NJOHS, officials from the NJSP, and representatives for other Public Safety DepartmentsLocal, State, and Federal officials as well as community and faith leaders will also enlighten us on the significance of dialogue in building a more inclusive and harmonious society.
