Face masks distributed to Newark residents

The City of Newark distributes face masks to Newark residents to help combat the spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) on Saturday at Weequahic High School and other locations throughout the city.

Masks were also distributed at Speedway Ave School in the West Ward, 271 b South Orange Avenue in the Central Ward, East Side High School in the East Ward, and Vince Lombardi Center in the North Ward.

Last week, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy called for all residents to wear masks inside stores and other essential businesses.
