Columbia Bank is proud to announce, South Jersey Biz has selected Alycia Banks, Senior Vice President, Learning and Diversity Officer, as a “Who’s Who in Banking 2022” honoree. The distinguished accolade recognizes top leaders in the financial services industry. Banks is amongst 15 other esteemed banking professionals included on this year’s list.

Banks’ role at Columbia Bank, she passionately works to build and develop an inclusive culture that embraces Diversity, Equity and Inclusion across the company. Over the past year, she has been key in bringing the strategy from concept into action. In 2021, she led an effort to launch eight Employee Resource Groups at the Bank, with 54% of employees joining membership. Banks is representative of New Jersey Bankers’ Diversity, Equity and
Inclusion Council. Most recently, she was recognized by ROI-NJ as a “ROI Influencer for Diversity and Inclusion 2022.”

When asked why it is important for clients to have a strong relationship with their banking team, Banks said, “It’s essential to successful money management. Clients have a plethora of ways to manage their money; however, the banker/client relationship offers the ability to move beyond transactional so clients have a partner who can identify patterns, opportunities and money-saving solutions, as well as protect them from fraud.”
