The New Jersey LGBT Chamber of Commerce is excited to host a two-part roundtable series designed to advance the interests of LGBT-, small-, minority-, women-, disability-, and veteran-owned businesses in the state of New Jersey.

Hester Agudosi, Chief Diversity Officer for the State of New Jersey, will be the Keynote Speaker for Part One of the Series, the “Small and Minority Owned Business Certification Summit”, taking place on Sept. 9, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This event will bring together many national organizations and state government agencies to educate business owners on the benefits of becoming a certified small- or minority-owned business. Such benefits include enhanced opportunities to establish contracts with Fortune 500 companies and special access to both federal and state government resources and lending.

Lt. Governor Shelia Oliver will be the Keynote Speaker at Part Two of the Series, “Meet the Diverse Chambers of NJ!”, which will take place two weeks later on September 23rd, also from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. This event will serve as a forum for the New Jersey LGBT Chamber, Statewide Hispanic Chamber, NJ State Veterans Chamber, the Capital Region Minority Chamber and the Women’s Business Enterprise Council Metro NY, to speak to the value of being a member of a local diverse Chamber and inform attendees on what educational resources and networking opportunities are offered by each organization.

“The goal of these two events is to help business owners learn how to leverage their identities to build their brand, discover new ways to access contracts, and gain more opportunities to expand their businesses on a local, national, and international level,” says Stephen Blazejewski, President of the New Jersey LGBT Chamber of Commerce.

Both events are FREE and will take place using the virtual meeting platform, Zoom. All are welcome to attend!

Interested attendees should pre-register by going to the New Jersey LGBT Chamber’s website or by going to www.bit.ly/CERTIFY2021 and www.bit.ly/DIVERSITY2021. Questions related to each event can be emailed to info@njlgbtchamber.org
