Mayor Ras J. Baraka, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Acting Commissioner Shawn LaTourette, Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo, Jr., Water and Sewer Utilities Director Kareem Adeem, and New Jersey Future’s Chris Sturm participates in a moderated conversation on Newark’s State of Water, on Thursday.

NPR reporter Michael Hill moderated the discussion, which  aired on Newark’s Government Access Channel (78 on Altice and 28 on Fios) and livestreamed on the city’s Facebook page. Water and Sewer Utilities Department Assistant Director Tiffany Stewart will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies.

The panel will discussed the City’s progress in replacing 18,500+ lead service lines as it nears completion and other water quality improvements. In addition, participants took questions submitted from residents.
