Following the success of her latest single “Options,” Candace Mackey has released new visuals for her second single, “Day and Night.” The Queens songstress called on fellow NYC rapper IVL to put their own spin on the 2002 hit “Day & Night” by Isyss featuring Jadakiss.
In the video, directed by Good Glass Films, Candace and IVL bring us along on their beautiful fall day date in NYC. Things quickly take a turn once IVL gets caught up trying to balance his past and current relations.
“With the continued craziness of 2020, I wanted to create a vibe that reminds me, and everyone who’s listening, of a time where things were fun, safe and enjoyable. This song and video takes me back to being young and free, enjoying the New York City weather with my girls,” Candace shared.
The feel good track was written by Candace alongside Lew Haz and produced by CJ The Great. “Day and Night” is the second single off her upcoming EP, “The Prelude,” set to drop early 2021.
