The State Fair Meadowlands is set to take place starting July 23 and going through Aug. 9, three weeks after its original dates. Officials say the fair is being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The fair will include over 150 attractions and rides in the parking lot of the MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, NJ.
“As Jersey’s largest single family event, we strive to provide a fertile environment for innovation and creativity,” officials from the State Fair Group who run the event. ” State Fair Meadowlands is a place where families may enjoy quality rides, plenty of free entertainment, exciting games and prizes as well as a wide and diverse selection of delicious foods.”
This year, fairgoers can enjoy free shows everyday at the fair. New this year are Bob Bohm’s Comedy Magic, Survivor Family Game Show & FARMily Feud Game Show, Circus Incredible, and Illusions with Lance Gifford. Returning favorites include Jurassic Kingdom, Cycle Circus Live, Racing Pigs, Master Hypnotist Steve Bayner, along with strolling magician Artie Miller.
